In the arcing blue and bright
Golden warmth on honeyed skin
Casting gently into early evening
Breezes buffet sweetly the scents of Spring
Slowly swelling into portentous winds.
Small dark shades come sweeping by
Spitting angrily on the Earth
Their drops accomplishing little
But cooling honeyed skin and soft smiles
Sugared lips making promises in the shower.
Free faces revealed in the sun
Greet the season’s changing guard
Coming together in the fresh green
Belonging once again to the world
Surrounded in life abundant.
